Triangle City Center- Habitat for Humanity Workday

The Triangle City Center was pleased to be able to assemble a volunteer team to take part in a Habitat for Humanity work day on April 17th. The team gathered in Durham, NC, with very little on-site construction experience.  However, the fine folks of Habitat quickly put them to work and before they knew it, they were broken into teams responsible for roofing, installing cabinetry blocking, and hanging exterior porch ceiling! The group all agreed that seeing such tangible progress in just four hours provided a true sense of accomplishment! Not to mention, their efforts were part of the overall process of the typical 16-week build out of a  Bronze level LEED certified Habitat home. Scheduled to be completed in mid-June, this house will be the first home owned by a local single mother and her child.
