Interior Architect - Designer
The Greenville, SC office of LS3P ASSOCIATES LTD. is seeking a talented Interior Designer to join our dynamic and creative team.
Qualified applicants will possess a Professional Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or Interior Design and a progressive work history of 5 or more years experience in a professional design practice. Commercial design experience in public, private and higher education is required.
Experience with graphics software such as Google Sketchup, Adobe Photoshop and REVIT is preferred. Candidates holding an Architectural License, NCIDQ certification, and/or LEED Accreditation are preferred.
The successful candidate will be passionate about design, detail-oriented, efficient, devoted to quality output, able to work independently as well as in a team environment, possess the organizational skills to prioritize tasks and handle multiple deadlines, and have excellent communication skills.
The job responsibilities include:
- Collaborative involvement in all phases of the design process including programming and space planning
- FF&E specification
- Design and construction drawings
- Test fit layout and BOMA calculation spreadsheet preparation
- Project Management
- Preparing proposals for prospective clients
- Preliminary client contact and client relationship management
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Excellent communication skills and a strong team ethic
- Strong organization, multi-tasking and time management skills,
- Ability to interact professionally with office leadership and clients
- Ability to direct and motivate work efforts of others and handle stressful situations
- Ability to self-manage project assignments from start to finish with minimal oversight
- Technical production skills are necessary and require a demonstrated ability to effectively produce project design and construction documents. Proficiency in REVIT preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of relevant codes such as - ANSI 117.1, BOMA
- Understanding of sustainable material selection for LEED compliance
- Awareness of current project management processes and target occupant trends
- Ability to cultivate, foster and nurture Client relationships

FreemanWhite, Inc is seeking an Interior Designer with a minimum of 5 years’ experience to join our Charlotte, NC based Design Studio. FreemanWhite has a national practice that is dedicated to the healthcare market, so healthcare design experience is preferred, but thoughtful, beautiful design solutions are essential. The candidate should have the ability to clearly present ideas that inspire both clients and design teams. Portfolio samples of design projects are required to accompany your resume and reference information.
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduated from a four year CIDA (formerly FIDER) accredited Interior Design program
NCIDQ Certification
2 year’s min Healthcare design experience
5 to 8 years’ experience on commercial interior design projects
AutoCad proficiency
Other Preferred Qualifications:
BIM experience (Revit)
LEED Accreditation
Adobe Suites, Photoshop, Sketch Up
Some travel is required with the position.

We are a national search firm and we have a client looking for a Senior Level Designer. Our client is a commercial office furniture dealer. They are looking for someone in the Southeast and are willing to provide some relocation assistance if needed. This person will lead their Interior Design team. This person will need to be able to present and sell concepts, designs, furniture, etc... This position is responsible for execution and coordination of large scale design projects in coordination with the Design Manager and/or Salesperson. They must have AutoCad experience...They need someone who is detail and process oriented, can handle multiple projects and has strong written and verbal communication skills. This person will eventually be required to train and develop junior interior designers. You will be responsible for all aspects of office furniture design including specifying products, creating floor plans and layouts and creating presentations. This position will require experience working with one of more of the major office furniture industry brands including Herman Miller, Haworth, Steelcase, Knoll, Teknion, etc...
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Design Project Management:
- · Coordinate all phases of the design process to ensure completion in a timely and accurate manner.
- · Advanced skill level on CAD, design boards and planning. Ability to provide organizational detail and accurate specifications based on product knowledge and expertise.
- · Consistent updates to Design Manager on project status.
- · Assemble team meetings with Sales Administrator, Project Manager, Sales or Installation Supervisor whenever warranted to facilitate complete and timely communication.
- · Maintenance of internal reporting systems; i.e. timesheets, project files and project schedules.
Selling Responsibilities:
- · Tandem sales calls / design presentations to clients.
- · Thorough understanding of Design Department capabilities to provide clear and accurate solutions for the customer.
- · Continued, aggressive pursuit to increase billable Design hours and furniture sales.
- · Maintenance of excellent client relationships through responsive, creative and accurate work.
Education and/or Experience
- · Minimum 5+ years related office furniture experience preferred.
- · Minimum 2 years experience with AutoCAD
